Journalist and freelance writer Philip Jr Lustre called President Rodrigo Duterte as a 'sick old man from the south'.
According to his post, Duterte is trying to control the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).
"The sick old man is truly sick to attempt to control the two sensitive agencies," Lustre said in his post.
He also accused Duterte and said "HIS IGNORANCE IS THE PROBLEM."

"HIS IGNORANCE IS THE PROBLEM. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is very much different from the Central Bank of the Philippines, which Ferdinand and Imelda controlled as if it was their piggy bank. The BSP has been created in accordance with the mandate of the 1987 Constitution requiring the creation of an independent monetary authority. Hence, the law that governs the BSP insulates it from any executive intervention, particularly the President. The country has its lessons during the martial law era, where the Marcos dictatorship treated it as if they owned the CB. It printed money without acknowledging the inflationary effects. One of the reasons the national economy had plummeted during the martial law years was the Marcos control of the Central Bank. No post-Marcos president has ever intervened in the BSP operations. Now, this sick old man from the South is trying to control it. The same is true with the AMLC. Its creation is covered by a special law that prevents any presidential intervention in its operations. Hence, the president can't make the AMLC his personal instrument to oppress. Its powers are so sensitive that any misuse could lead to the unnecessary persecution of affected parties. The sick old man is truly sick to attempt to control the two sensitive agencies."
