A middle-aged man was allegedly slain by the police in Zamboanga del Norte. The person was identified as Eduardo Serino, Sr.
According to the netizen, Rosherl Taburnal Lumpapac, who know the victim personally, Serino went to Zamboanga City with a huge amount of money with him. The online user also stated that the money was for the medical bills of his child who was confined to a hospital the time of the incident.
Lumpapac added that Serino was unfamiliar of the province. He got lost on his way without any idea what to do and where to go. That was when the police allegedly came to him and asked for what was inside his bag.
Serino refused to get his belongings investigated in the middle of the crowd. But the cops’ insistence led to dragging Serino in the corner and assaulting him. The netizen then narrated that he was brought to the station and that was when he died.
It wasn’t clear how he lost his life or whether the cops did gun him down. It was then too late to inspect Serino’s bag, and they found out that his bag only contained identification cards and other personal possessions.
Lumpapac said she visited Serino and his family after his lifeless body was sent back to their home. She said it was hard to recognize him as his body was covered with bruises and wounds.
She exclaimed.
The online user said that she and the people of Lintangan, Sibuco can attest that Serino was a kind person and a loving, responsible father and has no record of misconduct.
“Isang napaka-responsibleng ama, tahimik, mahiyain, matulungin at napakabait na tao. And people of Lintangan can really testify na walang naging kalaban itong taong to,” she wrote.
