News : Drug war sends OFW rushing home for son who ‘couldn’t run'



OFW Luzviminda Siapo wanted to give her son a bright future. She did not expect that she would rush home from her job in Kuwait to meet the body of her murdered son.

Last March 29, a group of men with ski masks on killed her 19-year-old son, Raymart after he was accused of peddling marijuana in Barangay NBBS, Navotas City.

She said in an interview, “All it took was a false accusation for these people to murder my son. They did not bother to investigate, they did not bother to verify. They just killed him.”

Before Raymart was murdered, he was brought to the barangay hall after getting into an argument with a neighbor who accused him of selling marijuana, among other things.

Raymart guardian, an uncle, said that 14 people in ski masks riding a motorcycle went into their house. 5 of them entered and abducted Raymart. He then asked for help.

He was then reportedly asked to get off the motorcycle and asked to run. However, he has a bilateral club foot, so he couldn't run.

“When my son refused, they asked him to sit down instead. Then, they shot him. Just like that,” Siapo said.

The police report that Raymar was shot in the head twice. His arms were also broken.
