A contestant from Miss Q&A Jennifer Collins was involved in a life-threatening vehicular accident on August 31. According to reports, Collins was on board a tricycle on his way home when it collided with a speeding jeepney. He was then rushed to the nearest hospital where doctors had to amputate his right leg. On the other hand, his left leg was severely broken and had to be put in a cast.
His friend, Jam Arenas, narrated what happened on his Facebook account and asked his friend’s fans and supporters for assistance for the fast recovery of Collins.
According to Arenas, Collins took a tricycle ride home when a jeepney suddenly collided with them.
“Mabilis daw po ang patakbo ng jeep, lasing at mukang naka droga pa daw po. Umabot na po sa puntong halos mamatay na siya at kailangan ng putulin ang isa nyang binti (RIGHT) samantalang sementado po ang isa (LEFT). Malaking Pasasalamat pa din sa Diyos na siya ay binigyan ng panibagong buhay,” as stated in part of Jam’s post.
