Adjusted for inflation, these are 6 of the most expensive celebrity weddings in the Philippines.

1. Ferdinand Marcos and Imelda Romualdez – Inflated Cost: 16 million pesos (Original Price: 1-2 million pesos)

Starting with a controversial entry, the late dictator President Ferdinand Marcos was married to fashion designer/model Imelda Romualdez with a budget of 1 to 2 million pesos.

They were married on May 1, 1954 at the Pro Cathedral of San Miguel in Manila. Prior to the ceremony, the two were married in a civil ceremony in Baguio City.

2. Yong Larrazabal and Donna Cruz – Inflated Cost: 24 million pesos (Original Price: 8-9 million pesos)

Recording artist and actress Donna Cruz got married to Cebu-based ophthalmologist Potenciano “Yong” Larrazabal III in September 19, 1998. They were engaged 7 months prior. The wedding took place at the Basilica de San Sebastian Church in Manila while the reception was held at the Manila Hotel.

3.  Yilmaz Bektas and Ruffa Gutierrez – Cost: 27 million pesos

Actress / former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez and Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas got hitched on May 25, 2003. The wedding cost 27 million pesos. Their marriage didn’t last though, as a bitter separation eventually took place between the two.

Yilmaz Bektas once said, “Lady Sharmaine Gutierrez…I find you in the garbage and I put you back in the garbage.”

4. Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna – Cost: 83 million pesos

‘Bosing’ Vic Sotto and actress / TV host Pauleen Luna got married on January 30, 2016 after dating for more than 4 years. The wedding ceremony was held at the St James the Great Parish Church in Alabang. They are currently expecting their first child.

5. Assunta de Rossi and Jules Ledesma – Cost: 97 million pesos

Actress Assunta de Rossi got married to businessman and Negros Occidental First District Rep. Julio “Jules” Ledesma IV on March 14, 2004.

6. Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo – Cost: 500 million pesos

Celebrity cosmetic doctor, occasional actor and model Hayden Kho got married to dermatologist and TV personality Vicki Belo on June 23, 2017 in a civil ceremony.
