Ever since incriminating photos and videos of John Lloyd Cruz leaked on social media, his good boy reputation took a hit from the negative backlash. His recent uncharacteristic behavior also made him and Ellen Adarna tabloid fodder for the past few days. According to reports by Abante Tonite, the Kapamilya network will reportedly put the actor under rehabilitation for his alcoholism. They are also worried with John Lloyd’s declining weight, suggesting other underlying problems. His contract with Star Magic is until March 2018, so the big bosses will still discuss if they will renew his contract.
The issue began to appear when the actor was seen together with “Home Sweetie Home” co-star, Ellen Adarna, during a vacation in Cebu. The two were said to be in a relationship, despite repeated denials from the sexy actress.
The video clips, showing a visibly drunk John Lloyd, were uploaded on Instagram by one of Ellen’s non-showbiz friends. Although the clips were supposed to disappear after a few hours, some enterprising netizens were able to grab the scandalous footage. Of course, some of the actor’s fans were appalled with John Lloyd’s behavior, a far cry from his boy-next-door image in movies and sitcom. To make amends, he issued an apology on his Instagram account, saying that he doesn’t regret what happened.
Following this, the rumored couple began posting photos of them together on the photo-sharing platform. The viral snaps and clips also fanned gossip that they are indeed an item.
But they remain tight-lipped about their relationship status.
However, a few days later, Ellen and John Lloyd deleted said pictures, fueling speculations that the two are over. “Mas mabilis pa sa alas kwatro,” some of the netizens quipped on their quick, gossip-filled romance.
Ellen also posted a cryptic message on Instagram:
“Immediately leave behind those who use manipulative behaviour to convince you to change or lose your identity. You are not putty to be played with or a project to be perfected, but a magnificent and unique manifestation of the universe. You have the right and responsibility to be Yourself.”
