Unlike the normal stories that we usually encounter or read on social media, claiming that a housemaid experienced abuse from his or her employer, this woman did not expect that the tables would turn upside down when she sought help from the show “Raffy Tulfo in Action.”
Arsenia, a house helper, was in tears when she turned to the journalist for help. She said that her boss would only return her belongings once she paid her pending debt of Php 3,500. When Raffy called her employer, Claudio Gaspar, on the phone, that was when he found out that Arsenia is a troublesome housemaid.
Claudio said:
“Kasi, hindi ho siya nagpapaalam pag umaalis [siya]. Iniiwan yung bahay nang hindi man lang nagtetext. Eh hinahanap siya palagi sa akin ng asawa niya at saka yung anak niya. Eh parang ginagawa na hong ako ang bantay eh.”
He added:
“Yun nga po ang mahirap dyan eh kasi alis siya nang alis, tapos ako yung tinatanong eh hindi ko rin masagot kung san siya pumupunta.”
To her defense, Arsenia claimed that she only goes to a pharmacy to buy her medicine, but Raffy told her to still let her employer know her whereabouts. Raffy shared that he also has helpers at home and as the house owner, he will also get angry if his maids go out without telling him or asking for his permission.
Arsenia then acknowledged her fault and apologized to Claudio. The latter, on the other hand, scolded her on the phone. He told her:
“Ang problema naman kasi sayo, iniiwan mo yung bahay. At saka may usapan na tayo ‘di ba? Hanggang 30 ka na lang eh. Usapan natin yan.”
Arsenia then said:
“Oh eh hindi naman po ako makaalis dyan kasi may utang ako sa inyo. Eh alam naman po ninyo na wala akong pera. Di naman ako tinutulungan ng anak ko tsaka asawa ko dahil sumbong ka nang sumbong dun sa kanila.”
Claudio replied:
“Eh papaano nga, nagtatanong sila sa akin. Alangan namang sabihin [kong] di ko alam. Aalis ka nang alas-otso ng umaga tapos uuwi ka nang alas-kwatro ng madaling araw kinabukasan. Di namin alam kung saan ka galling.”
When asked by Raffy where she went, Arsenia said she only slept over at her sibling’s home. She also explained that her phone is currently pawned off which is why she cannot text her husband.
However, when Raffy asked her if she has an affair, Arsenia could not respond immediately. Soon enough, after talking to her husband, Antonio Berador, on the phone, Raffy discovered that Arsenia has at least ten male “friends” or “chatmates.”
Antonio said:
“Ang amo nyan, napakabait sir, si Gaspar. Napakabait na amo nyan. Tapos utang nang utang sir, lalabas.”
Antonio added that Arsenia didn’t allow him to look at her bag, claiming that she hides the contact numbers of the men she’s seeing with in it. He went on:
“Nandoon yung mga number ng lalaki sir. Maraming lalaki sir!”
Just like what he promised, Raffy helped Arsenia pay for her balance. But he advised her to finally be faithful to her husband. Arsenia then finally got back her things, went home and reconciled with Antonio.
