After President Duterte announced that he is severing the Philippines’ ties with the U.S., Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is not surprised.

According to Trillanes, Duterte was just showing his true colors.

“If he thinks like a communist, talks like a communist, frees the communists, and appoints the communists, then he must be a communist,”

In his China trip, Duterte said that he will gear closer to Russia and China during his 6-year term.
