Breaking News : De Lima’s sister Caroline De Lima arrested in China for drug trafficking

BEIJING – Caroline De Lima, a sister to Senator Leila De Lima has been arrested early Monday morning in China for drug trafficking.

Chinese Authorities say Caroline was suspected and marked on Sunday when she arrived at the Beijing Airport from the Manila.

“We suspected her of carrying drugs but we wanted to know her accomplices. So we allowed her to leave without any interrogations” – The border control said.

According to the Chinese Border Control Agency, Caroline was traced and followed from the airport until she delivered the goods to her Chinese client. They were then arrested.

Police gave Caroline’s Chinese accomplice’s name as Wei Maoju. Both are currently in Police custody and would be appearing before court on Wednesday.

Caroline’s sister, Senator Leila De Lima has been in the public domain since Duterte ascended office for Duterte’s claims of her links to drug trade.

Duterte is yet to comment on the arrest..
