This would be the perfect gift for every Filipinos from our President for the upcoming 2017. During the Health Sec. Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial visit to Integrated Provincial Hospital Office in Maguindanao, she confirmed that 2017 would be a great to Filipinos; as hospitalization will be free of charge.

According to Health Sec. Ubial, there is no need to show your PhilHealth card to avail the new feature of government hospitals just to prove you are a Filipino. They believed that you are entitled to be covered by health benefits. Thus for the upcoming 2017, PhilHealth will responsible for your hospital billings and none other that, medicines are now free for all poor Filipino families.

Free hospitalization in 2017 is the result of the increased funds from the Budget Department. The Department of Health now obtains good financial status after the Budget Department has paid the arrears with the total amount of 32 Billion from the 42 Billion deficits of Philhealth.
Moreover, Ubial stated that this is the first time in the history of DOH to offer the entire hospitalization billings and medicines for poor families.
