ABS-CBN reporter Chiara Zambrano shared her heartwarming love story with Technical Sergeant Tap Dinglasan, a member of the Philippine Marine Corps assigned in Marawi City. Sad to say, their supposed love story was short-lived because the brave marine was killed by the terrorist Maute Group. Below is her Facebook post. And yes, you can cry.
According to Zambrano, Dinglasan told her that he will court her once he returns from the battlefield. The lady reporter said the Marine’s voice so low, but she still heard it even if she was across the street. However, she said he is obviously joking to make his companions smile before they risk their lives for the country. Nevertheless, she replied.
“Narinig ko yon. Bumalik ka muna nang buhay, saka tayo mag-usap. (I heard you. You come back alive, then let’s talk about it.)” Zambrano said to Dinglasan in a loud voice. She said the Marine became shy and kept on hiding his face from her, as his companions laughed. Yet, Dinglasan still managed to smile and waved his hand at her before they left.
Shortly, Tap Dinglasan and fellow Marines left for Mapandi Bridge via a truck. But unfortunately, the supposed romance between Chiara Zambrano and the Marine was not really meant to be. That same day, Dinglasan was the only Marine killed by the Maute Group when the Marines recovered the Mapandi Bridge from the terrorist group.

But despite the sad news, Zambrano said she is somehow glad knowing that she made Dinglasan laugh on his last day. And just she said, we at Taho News thank all the brave soldiers and Marines who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the country. And to you, TSgt Tap Dinglasan, we salute you, Sir! Mabuhay ang mga sundalong Pinoy!
