Kimpoy Feliciano, internet-famous social media celebrity, recently shared the story of a fan who almost became his girlfriend.
Is it actually possible for a famous person to fall in love with a fan? Such things only exist in movies, or so they say. But hey, Kate Middleton was able to capture the heart of the prince of England, Prince William. Priscilla Wager got the King of Rock, Elvis Presley to fall in love with her. Adrienne Nesser was a fan of Greenday, she attended their concert in Minnesota and yup, she managed to sweep frontman Billy Joe Armstrong off his feet.
It is not yet too late, my dear. If there’s a will there’s a way, right?
However, what was supposed to be a cute love story didn’t push through for Youtube star Kimpoy Feliciano and a fan he met during a show in Iloilo. It was 2015, and Kimpoy just came from New Zealand and traveled to the Philippines for an event.
It was during the Dinagyang Festival when Kimpoy Feliciano first laid eyes on the fan girl. She was with her friends. He decided to come and talk to her. The girl said ‘hi’ as well, and took a photo with him.
The next day, he saw her again. He was just minding his own business when someone tapped him and, voila — it was her! It must be fate, he thought to himself. They walked around. She toured him around Iloilo. When he got back to the hotel, they continued talking on the phone.
On the third day, they had breakfast together. He realized that he was already falling for her. Unfortunately, it was his last day in Iloilo. After he got back to Manila, he then had to go back to New Zealand. It was the right person at the wrong time, he said.
Today, the fan girl is already in a relationship. Kimpoy can only catch glimpses of her life online. He also said that she never talked to him again. But even though they didn’t end up together, Kimpoy shared that he was happy to have spent time with someone like her… even for just a little while.
Ouch!
