In case you missed it, McCoy de Leon recently surprised his on-screen partner and rumored beau Elisse Joson during a launch event at SM Megamall Fashion Hall—and people still can’t get enough of it.
On Tuesday, September 26, McCoy called in sick and informed Elisse that he would not be able to attend the launch of fashion documentary “Making MEGA in Turkey with McLisse.” The young actress had no other choice but to grace the event alone.
Little did she know that a big surprise was waiting for her.
Amid the ongoing occasion, while Elisse stood on the center stage, McCoy suddenly showed up holding a red balloon. The balloon had an all-caps ‘LABLAB’ written on it, referring to their term of endearment.
McCoy indeed leveled up in this ‘Star Magic Ball’ proposal, yet he also confessed to Inside Showbiz he felt nervous before being able to pull everything off.
“Kinabahan ako sa mismong lugar, sa mismong venue kasi sobrang higpit nila. Pero masaya ako and very thankful na nagawan sya ng paraan,” he said.
But, of course, he would not be able to accomplish the surprise without the help of the ‘McLisse’ fans. They were the ones who sprinkled red balloons from the upper floor and rolled down the big tarpaulin which depicted the magic words, “Will you be my date, my princess?”
“Nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa mga supporters ko, sa mismong McLisse (fans). Sila talaga ‘yung tumulong sa’kin kaya naging posible ‘to. Malaking part sila [of this proposal],” McCoy shared.
As much as how the people cannot get over this romantic scene, netizens also admired Elisse’s gorgeous look that night. The young actress flaunted a stunning and elegant-looking sequin dress.
Elisse has been featured in magazines and online sites because of her cool and casual OOTDs (outfit of the day). Also, it will be recalled that Elisse was one of the best-dressed at Star Magic Ball 2016. Will she be able to pull it off at the red carpet this year? We should all guess so.
