A 20-year old student from Rizal Polytechnic College who joined the rally on September 21 during the Martial Law anniversary rally, said the rally organizers failed to deliver their promise.
Several days earlier, youth leaders from different schools were organized by Bayan party list to protest against the celebration of Martial Law, and to denounce Duterte’s war on drugs.
The junior Civil Engineering student who asked not to disclose his name said, rally organizers told them that they will be paid P5,000 if they join the rally. He said they were given P2,000 before they went to the site, but they did not receive the remaining P3,000.
When asked what was his personal opinion on Martial Law and War on Drugs, he said he supported President Duterte. “Kaya lang naman po ako sumama sa rally para may pandagdag tuition. Nine kaming galing sa RPC at pareho din lang ang nangyari”, the student said.
The same group (video below) attended the anti-Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani last May.
