Finally, the rumor has been confirmed and Melason fans found themselves with this sad reality: Jason Francisco has truly left his wife, Melai Cantiveros.
He has moved on…to another network.
Fans of the unlikely “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)” love team realized what they’ve all been dreading – the break-up of the MelaSon, when Jason finally left the halls of ABS-CBN.
In the uploaded video of the Youtube channel, Mr. Tsismoso, the PBB alumnus left the Kapamilya network after almost eight years. Meanwhile, his wife Melai continues to be under Star Magic, the Kapamilya network’s talent management arm.
So you see, Jason has indeed left Melai, just not over marital issues.
On Instagram, the erstwhile reality star posted a photo of him with the caption: “Thank you #SundayPinasaya (Sayawit) Masaya ang aking first guesting Sa GMA ❤ 👍”
“Sunday PinaSaya” is the Kapuso Sunday noontime variety show hosted by Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera and Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas.
According to a report of Abante, Jason said that he had nothing against his old network, and he was grateful for being under ABS-CBN’s management.
When his exclusive contract expired, the aspiring actor had signed with PPL Entertainment, the talent agency run by Perry Lansigan. Note that majority of Perry’s talents are GMA-7 artists, such as, Dingdong Dantes, Sunshine Dizon, Gina Alajar, Jaclyn Jose, Gabby Eigenmann, Max Collins, Arthur Solinap, Rochelle Pangilinan, Angelika dela Cruz, among others.
In an interview, Jason told Abante, “Matagal na rin ako sa ABS-CBN, almost eight years, so susubok lang ako sa bagong surroundings, bagong experience, panibago naman.”
It seemed like the former Kapamilya artist will be packaged to appear as a comedian since GMA-7 is notable for its long-running comedy shows like “Bubble Gang” and “Pepito Manaloto”.
Back in July, Jason was already spotted on the set of the Kapuso primetime action series, “Alyas Robin Hood,” which stars Dingdong Dantes as the lead. According to PEP, he was confirmed to have a cameo role only, when he still hasn’t officially signed with GMA-7 yet.
After his PBB stint in 2009, Jason appeared on a few TV shows with ABS-CBN. On the other hand, his wife Melai had a more successful career, co-hosting the morning talk show, “Magandang Buhay”.
Watch the video that shocked MelaSon fans:
