It can be remembered that videos of Marlou Arizala, Xander Ford’s previous name, body-shaming “Teen Queen” Kathryn Bernardo has circulated on the social media these past few weeks. The video uploaded only has a familiar voice a man that people quickly concluded to be from Xander.
In the video, the man pointed out that Kathryn can never be hailed as the Philippines “sexiest woman” in FHM’s popular poll as she has crooked legs.
In his defense, Xander with his talent management quickly released an official statement saying that the voice heard in the clip was not Xander’s.
However, two new videos swiftly surfaced in the online world upon the release of Xander’s official statement.
KathNiel fans and other Kathryn Bernardo supporters were boiling in anger the minute the first video went viral. But the tension grew stronger when more evidence has implicated the newly-named celebrity.
Now, the viral social media star has expressed regrets on what he said in the video. In an article published by Philippine Entertainment Portal (pep.ph), it was said that Xander Ford held a small press con to acknowledge he was really the one who dropped the nasty remarks.
He said, “Hindi ko po siya tanda kung kailan namin siya nagawa or napagkuwentuhan. Pero natatandaan ko nga na nasa bus pala yun. Oo nga, nasabi ko nga yun kay Ate Kath. Pero in a way po na nagbibiruan lang kaming magkakaibigan po. Tapos po, hindi ko naman alam na may ganung lalabas.”
Xander also stated, “Bakit ngayon po, ngayon pa po na ito na ako ngayon, si Xander, at saka po nila inilabas. Noong una po, naitatanggi ko siya kasi hindi ko po talaga ma-recognize kung ako talaga yun. Pero napi-feel ko na po na boses ko yun.”
The controversial celebrity confessed that he lied because he doesn’t want to be bashed again. “Gusto kong aminin man sa tao, pero natatakot po ako. Hindi ko po kasi alam kung ano ang gagawin ko. Natatakot po kasi ako na i-judge ulit ng mga tao. Natatakot ako na husgahan po nila ako ulit, na hindi ko po aminin sa kanila yung mga pagkakamaling nagawa ko po.” Xander admitted.
When pep.ph asked the young celebrity whose help he seek after learning about the videos, he answered ““Unang nilapitan ko po is yung management ko po, manager ko po, mga kaibigan ko po sa Teen Trends, at saka mga pamilya ko po.”
Xander said what they told him. “Una po, pinapagalitan nila ako. Hindi naman po kasi nila ako kinukunsinti. Sinabi nila na masisira din po ang pangalan po nila, lahat po silang mga kaibigan ko, pati mga kaibigan ko. Tapos po, mga after tomorrow o ilang days, sinabi po nila sa akin na, ‘Hindi, kaya mo ‘yan. Magpakatatag ka lang kasi isyu lang naman ‘yan, e. ‘Yan yung dating ikaw pa, e. Iba na yung ngayon mo. Hindi na ikaw yung katulad ng dati.”
