Not all can imagine the pain that Kian Loyd Delos Santos’ parents are going through. We’ve seen pictures of both his mother and father grieving the tragic death of their son. Kian Loyd’s mother is actually an OFW who spent months without her family’s company. So it was shocking to say the least when she got home to her son in a casket.
But through the pain, she tries to smile and see the positive. Lorenza Delos Santos will never stop fighting for her son’s justice but she believes that his death had some higher purpose. Lorenza believes that God used Kian for something bigger than himself or his family.
“Natutuwa rin ako at nakakangiti na ginamit siya ng Panginoong Diyos para magising ang mga tao na walang kaluluwang pumapatay, bata man o matanda, di na nila mapigilan ang kanilang pagpatay,”
Lorenza states on GMA News TV’s Balitanghali Friday.
She remembers when she and her husband faced the cops who allegedly involved in her son’s murder. Lorenza recalls looking straight into the men’s faces. Both still trust and believe that their son was innocent. Kian couldn’t possibly be involved in something as big and illegal as the drug trade.
“Noong nakita ko ‘yung pumatay, magulang ka rin. Kung mangyari sa’yo ‘to siguro gusto mo rin malaman at makamit ‘yung hustisya dahil sa pagpatay sa anak mo na walang kamalay-malay na isang inosenteng bata,” Lorenza said.
Lorenza says that Kian never had any record that might prove he was a troubled kid. He was a sweet boy, as seen in his posts about his mother in his Facebook account, plus his childhood friends, classmates, and even his principal could attest that he was good.
Some of his relatives from Aklan went to his funeral to pay their last respects.
“Talagang masakit kasi ang pagkaalam namin kay Kian, mabait talaga saka atentibo siya sa pag-aral. Kaya kami halos mangutang kami para lang makapunta dito… masilayan,” said one of Kian’s loved ones.
