Leila De Lima is the richest person in the Philippines and 12th in the U.S – Forbes’ 2016 report

Senator Leila De Lima has been listed as Philippines’ richest person in the latest Forbes’ 2016 report.

According to Forbes, the senator has an estimated worth of $13.2 billion.

The report took into consideration her investments home and abroad with the United States being the home of 90 percent of her investments.

Forbes ranked De Lima as the 12th richest in the United States in the “400 Richest Investors in U.S”.

Her sources of wealth are hotels and real estates. She is owner of the prestigious hotel chain ACCOR.

This is the first time De Lima has appeared in Forbes’ list of richest persons.
