VIRAL : THAI NURSE FORCED TO RESIGN FOR WEARING ‘OVERLY SEXY UNIFORM’



Being a nurse, or the job of nursing, is concerned with the care of individuals, families, and communities so that they may attain optimal health and maintain their quality of life.

While the job is largely about those who take can care of the sick, injured and elderly – becoming a nurse is a full-time profession.



A nurse has to command respect from both her peers and the paitents she takes care of. That’s why they have to dress a certain way.

However this nurse from Thailand has gotten herself in some hot water after being seen wearing an “overly sexy uniform”.

26-year-old Thai nurse Parichat ‘Pang’ Chatsri was forced to quit her job for wearing a tight-fitting and skimpy nurse’s uniform.






When Ms. Chatsri’s suggestive uniform photos were posted social media, she received various reactions from different netizens.





The sexy pictures won the hearts of fans while other weree more conservative Thais felt that she was dressed inappropriately.

According to the report by The Sun, Ms. Chatsri’s uniform was regarded by some as too provocative in Thailand and critics accused her of disrespecting the nursing profession.

The Facebook page Thai Nurse Lovers Association were responsible for sharing the nurse’s photos and making them viral.



Parichat Chatsri has since apologized to the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council and the hospital. She hoped that her actions would not damage the overall reputation held by other nurses.

She said:

“I explained to the board at the hospital but they have high regards for the hospital’s image. I understood them, and I didn’t want it to be a big deal. So I took responsibility by resigning. I’d like to apologise to the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council and the hospital. I don’t want the public to judge all nurses based on my image.”
Parichat Chatsri said that protecting the reputation of the nurse profession was her responsibility and remains her reason for resigning.



She added:

“I do not want trouble. It happened and I was responsible. I need to improve myself.”
