Social media pseudo-celebrity Xander Ford became the subject of controversy these past few weeks after being caught red-handed insulting Kapamilya Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo. Kathryn is one of the most well-liked celebrities in the local showbiz industry which is why this issue caused such uproar online.
In a video, a 20-year old Xander back when he still went by Marlou Arizala can be heard calling Kathryn Bernardo “sakang” or bow-legged. When the issue went viral, Xander repeatedly denied the accusations until they were eventually proven true when evidence resurfaced.
After the revelation, Xander Ford became the subject of ridicule online. Kathryn’s fan base repeatedly bashed him on social media. Some celebrities couldn’t help but raise their eyebrows over Xander’s insensitive comments about Kathryn as well.

“Dati po talaga sobrang close ko rin kay nila Maris, sa Girltrends, na akala ko po kasi talaga e okay naman po sa kanila na parang… na hindi nila kayang patulan yung mga ganong simpleng bagay.”
“Pero ngayon alam ko na po na parang kahit simpleng reaksyon lang o simpleng pagkakamali ng tao, mahuhusgahan at mahuhusgahan po talaga.”
Furthermore, he issued an apology to Maris and any other celebrities who are upset with him:
“Kaya ngayon sinasabi ko po na kung may nagawa man ako sa kaniya, kung ano po man iyon, nagso-sorry na lang po ako sa kaniya, sa lahat po ng mga artist po na nagagalit po sa akin.”

“Pino-promote ko po pala yung palabas po naming, ano, La Luna Sangre. Ahh… gusto ko lang po sa inyo… ahh, ano… spoiler po talaga ako. Uhm, gusto ko lang po sa inyo ibunyag na… yung lobo pong ginaganapan ni Kathryn Bernardo po, sakang po yun.”
