‘GabRu‘ fans rejoiced after their favorite Kapuso love team composed of Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid announced that they were set to reunite for the upcoming primetime show “Sherlock Jr.” What makes it worth the wait, according to the leading lady, is that the series will possess a unique plot as they will be starring alongside Serena a.k.a. Siri, a four-year-old golden retriever, who will be voiced by actress Mikee Quintos.
However, it’s not all smiles and good news as GabRu supporters were concerned about Gabbi’s health after the actress was rushed to the hospital. She was unable to attend her new primetime series’ press conference after she reportedly felt some pain on her back as she was on her way to the event.
Twitter fan page Gabbified disclosed that Gabbi was diagnosed with a severe kidney infection.
The actress apologized to her fans for her absence during the presscon by sharing a selfie that showed her being confined to the hospital. On Wednesday, January 24, Gabbi was reportedly released from the hospital and thanked her fans for reaching out to express their concerns.
She tweeted:
Meanwhile, Gabbi shared in an interview with GMA how glad she was that she would be working once again with Ruru. She added that the show is dedicated to their loyal fans.
Gabbi Garcia said:
“When I learned na kami ulit [ang] magkakatrabaho ni Ruru, masaya kasi I’m comfortable working with him. I’ve been working with him for about three years na so nakakapa na namin ‘yung isa’t isa kung ano ‘yung weaknesses and strengths namin. Ang tagal ng hinintay nila so here it is, guys, it’s a treat for the GabRu fans. I’m sure na hindi mabibigo ‘yung fans dito.”
